About Me

Hi, I’m Ryan, thanks for stopping by my page! I’m a Computer Science graduate from UC San Diego with a background in full-stack development, backend systems, and AI-driven projects. I’ve interned at Intuit and Sephora, where I worked on real-world applications used by millions, and I’ve also built personal projects that reflect my interests, like an AI festival chatbot and a fitness tracker app.

What excites me most is finding creative ways to bridge my hobbies with engineering, turning passion into products and side interests into real tools. This site is where I showcase that journey.

Right now, I’m actively looking for full-time software engineering opportunities where I can keep building, learning, and making an impact on both the product and the team.

Fitness

Personal fitness and sports have always been a core part of my life. I grew up playing a lot of baseball, but it wasn't until COVID hit that I found a passion for weightlifting. Since then, lifting and running have become my passion; they help me stay focused and disciplined, both physically and mentally.

My Lifts:

  • Squat: 375lbs
  • Bench: 275lbs
  • Deadlift: 535lbs

History

Interestingly enough, my journey into programming began as a practical need. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had launched a small auto detailing business and wanted a website to promote it. Rather than hiring someone, I decided to build one myself. That experience sparked a deeper interest in how software works and what else I could create with code.

That curiosity ultimately led me to UC San Diego, where I pursued a degree in Computer Science. Over the years, I went from building static sites to designing full-stack applications and developing backend systems at companies like Intuit and Sephora. Along the way, I kept experimenting with side projects that let me blend my personal interests with software engineering.
